SUSTAINABILITY IN PRACTICET -
AN ATTEMPT AT AN APPROACH 

Let's start at the beginning. Sustainable and environmentally friendly production is something that more and more companies want today. At least more and more of them are making it their mission statement. But what does "sustainability" actually mean for a company?
In our opinion, a sustainable company should not only pay attention to the careful use of resources (raw materials, energy, water, air and soil, production of short distances, CO2 reduction), but also to minimising the risk of environmentally harmful factors and to the health of its employees. (Keyword: ESG | Environmental Social Governance / Environment, Social & Corporate Governance).
Ideally, all employees should feel committed to these aspects and organise their daily work accordingly.

Furthermore, sustainability and a company's market-based goal of generating profit should not be mutually exclusive, but should ideally complement each other in the long term.

At APM, we focus on running our company sustainably and decently. Our company should be an open book for our customers in the way it produces. Transparency for our customers - we have internalised this way of thinking long before.

By handling more expensive raw materials such as high-quality stainless steels, precious metals and expensive speciality plastics, we have always regarded the resulting production waste as new raw materials and fed it back into the recycling loop.

We call this 360 DEGREES OF RESPONSIBILITY and it has become an integral part of our COMPANY DNA. It is our obligation and responsibility to produce sustainably and economically and to preserve our environment in the long term. This is also what we understand by "MADE IN GERMANY". For us, environmentally friendly production is an ongoing process that is far from complete. We are currently addressing this issue in the following areas.

IT STARTS WITH THE LITTLE THINGS

At our company, we are committed to sustainability! Instead of disposable plastic cutlery and drinks bottles, we use reusable crockery and glass bottles from a regional supplier. We will soon even have our own kitchens where we can use a drinking water system that offers filtered water in still, medium and sparkling varieties. In this way, we can all do something for the environment together by reducing plastic and lowering CO2 and water consumption.

Z. B. ZERO WASTE -
EVERYONE CAN JOIN IN HERE

At APM, we are actively committed to the environment and therefore attach great importance to the correct separation of waste. Specially labelled waste bins are available in all our offices, production facilities and social areas to enable simple and efficient separation. We ensure that every employee receives comprehensive training in waste separation at the start of their employment so that together we can minimise greenhouse gas emissions from waste incineration and thus do our part to protect the environment. NOT MADE OF CARDBOARD-
OUR APPROACH TO PAPER

In order to make our contribution to environmental protection, we have paid particular attention to the economical use of paper in our process chain. Instead of printing out enquiries and orders, we transmit them digitally to our machines. However, if we cannot do without paper, we only use recycled paper, most of which is made from recycled waste paper and has been awarded the "Blue Angel" environmental seal.
